Cheyenne Frontier Days
July 2024 - The Daddy of the All, aka the World’s Largest Outdoor Rodeo - whatever you call it, it is 10 days of excitement and western celebration. It includes PRCA competitions of bull riding, barrel racing and more.

What is exciting from my perspective is the night shows. This year included an eclectic assortment of music, including artists like Thomas Rhett to Jelly Roll and Machine Gun Kelly.

If you ever get the opportunity to catch a rodeo and a show, make Cheyenne Frontier Days part of your bucket list. It’s a western adventure you will be happy you were part of.

Ned LeDoux - Cheyenne, Wyoming
January 5, 2024 - Anyone from Wyoming knows the legacy of the LeDoux family. Father Chris, a legendary bareback rodeo champ, was also a legendary singing sensation that even was mentioned by name in a Garth Brooks song.

It has been 18 years since Mr. LeDoux passed, but his son, Ned carries on with a show that would make his dad proud. He showcases not only some of his dad’s songs, but introduces his own song writing talent in the set list that keeps an audience on its feet. From ballads to an “Eight Second Ride” highlighting a rodeo ride, the four piece ensemble keeps pace without skipping a beat.

If you ever get the chance to catch a Ned LeDoux show, you will definitely have a good time.

Eagles - Denver, Colorado
October 5, 2023 - When a group starts with the beautiful harmony of “Seven Bridges Road” you know that it will be a show that is worth remembering. The tour is called “The Long Goodbye” and I had the privilege of catching the first night in Denver on Thursday, October 5 at the Ball Arena. My regret is that I did not get to see the group when they were still with the original members, however time moves on and the substitutions did not disappoint. Deacon Frey was the unsung hero in filling in for his father, while Vince Gill added sweet harmonies the round out the group.

The evening started when Don Henley announced that Donald Fegan of Steely Dan fame would not be available to perform due to hospitalization and that Sheryl Crow instead agreed to fill in as the opening act. Her show was good as well, but it was the vocal combination of the Eagles that raised the hairs on the back of my neck. From the classics including “Take It Easy” and Joe Walsh’s “Life’s Been Good” to the conclusion of “Desperado” and “Hotel California”, I am glad that I finally get to say - I saw the Eagles in concert.
